1. Will I turn orange? 
    No!! While there are some salons out there using solutions that still have an orange tinge to them, Island Girl uses one of the highest quality products available leaving a beautiful natural looking color. We have never turned a client orange. Please read our fabulous reviews- people love our color!!!


2.  How do I prepare for a spray tan?
   Shower shave and exfoliate the evening before your appointment. Pay extra attention when exfoliating to dry areas such as elbows, and knees and heels of feet. Prier to the appointment do not apply any lotions perfumes or deodorant for best results. Wear loose fitting clothing.


3. What will happen when I come to my appointment? 
    At your appointment you will be given a hair cap and offered a disposable bra and thong.  Each client has a personal choice of tanning with the disposables, bringing their own swimsuit or panties, or having no Tanlines and tanning nude. We want our clients to be comfortable and we are comfortable with whatever their choice is.  Barrier cream will be applied to protect staining on your hands and feet. 


4. How long will it take? 
   Your appointment will take less than 20 minutes. If you choose to do contouring add an additional 10 minutes. 


5. How long until I can rinse?
   For optimal results wait 6 to 8 hours before showering getting wet or perspiring. After your first rinse off moisturize immediately.


6. How long does a tan last?
  A Spray tan  should last 7 - 10 days- and sometimes longer depending on various factors such as a good skin care routine, applying moisturizer, and staying hydrated. Illness medications and hormones can also affect the tan color and how long it will last. Using a ph balancing prep spray and a high-quality tan extender lotion made specifically for sunless tanning will help to keep your tan looking fresh for a longer time. 


7. Do I need sunblock? 
   Definitely yes.  A sunless tan will not provide protection from sunburn. If you normally wear sunblock continue to do so.
